A quick one... What's AI doing on WhatsApp?

With the current trends of AI being incorporated into social media platforms “every week” like meta AI and the soon to be launched AI generated backgrounds for YouTube called dream screen. The question remains, what is AI supposed to help me do on these various platforms?

So I ask again, what’s AI doing on WhatsApp?

I have often wondered myself. The question for me is, of what use is the integrated AI on all these various platforms if they all do the same job?

I understand that Meta AI can act like a helpful assistant within WhatsApp, but is that not where chrome comes in?
Why do we need to have that on WhatsApp?

I think it’s for retainment purposes.

Why lose a user (for a few minutes/hours) to google, when they can get all they need in that same app.

I understand that it is a sustainability concept for these companies.
but when do we get to the point where we say Okay no more AI on these platforms?

I mean YouTube is about to launch theirs for AI-generated backgrounds. Thought we could do these already.

Now this is a more logical reason. Thanks.

AI on WhatsApp can help users in various ways, like, suggesting replies, automating customer support for businesses, analyzing message content, and even powering chatbots for a more interactive experience.

It is quite useful on WhatsApp

Yeahhhh.

There’s a point where we’ll clearly see that their innovations and updates are borderline unnecessary.

Maybe when the features start to have premium packages?

But I guess these apps will keep trying till they can’t😅

I feel incorporating AI on Social Media Platform is a business strategy to make more money for the company.
With such AI technologies, businesses will be able to develop intelligent chatbots or virtual assistants within the integrated whatsapp system.
Whatsapp AI can automate customer support, answer frequently asked questions, and provide personalized responses to users.

I believe AI in WhatsApp helps one to articulate a constructive message. It helps to anticipate your thoughts and put it down in writing.

To each his own.

For those who love structure and balance, AI is their guy.
But for the bulk of us?
Not always :joy:
