How Would You Handle Network Issues During a Job Interview?

Hey everyone,

After work today, some of my colleagues and I had a lively discussion about how unreliable Nigerian Telcos can be when it comes to network quality.

One of our colleagues shared a particularly frustrating experience. During her online job interview, she kept getting disconnected due to poor network. “I had to keep apologizing to the HR for the frequent disconnects,” she recounted.

This got me thinking, and I have a few questions for you all:

  1. What would you have done in such a situation?
  2. Should the HR have rescheduled the interview?
  3. Would this situation reflect poorly on the interviewee, making them seem unprepared?

I’m eager to hear your thoughts! I’ll share a similar experience of my own in the comments, but first, let’s see what you all have to say.

Network issue can be frustrating during an interview. The HR sees the candidate as an unprepared person even if the candidate is a First Class Material.
Network issue are circumstance that are beyond our control so i feel there should be a reschedule or a physical interview instead.
